Must be at least 18 years of age, a resident of Michigan for at least 6 months and a resident of Garfield Township for at least 30 days. Notice of Intent to Regionalize Materials Management Planning Process
Grand Traverse County intends to regionalize with Benzie and Leelanau Counties to prepare an updated Materials Management (Recycling and Solid Waste) Plan for our region. Below you will find links to the Grand Traverse County and State of Michigan webpages with additional information related to this topic.
It is important to note that the planning process will be conducted in a public setting and local municipalities will be given opportunity to give feedback and input on the plan. The development of the plan is anticipated to happen over the course of 2-3 years.

The ZBA will conduct a public hearing during its meeting on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Garfield Township Hall, 3848 Veterans Drive, Traverse City, MI. The purpose of this Public Hearing is to consider a request made by Randy Guild for a six foot variance from the side setback requirements.
