Township Board Meeting

A Township Board Meeting of the Charter Township of Garfield was held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the Garfield Township Hall, 3848 Veterans Drive, Traverse City, Michigan. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. and the Board transacted the following business:

1. Public Comment – None
2. Added Road Commission Report as Item b1. under Reports and New Business Item 8c. Consideration of approving Township Manager’s membership dues to Rotary. Approved amended agenda.
3. Approved January 14, 2025 meeting minutes
4. Approved the Consent Calendar as presented
5. Received the Engineering Report / Construction Update from Jennifer Graham
6. Received the County Commissioner’s Report from Lauren Flynn
7. Received the Township Manager’s Report from Chris Barsheff
8. Received the Supervisor’s Report from Joe McManus
9. Cherry Capital Airport CEO, Kevin Klein, gave a presentation on the history of the airport and plans for expansion
10. Board approved Resolution 2025-03-T, Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Fee Schedule
11. Board recommended the Township Manager return to the next Board meeting with costs for an iPad and accessories
12. Approved Township Manager’s membership to the Rotary and payment of dues.
13. Public Comment – None
